Next Round of Community Meetings Begin September 29 on Cultural Action Plan

Today, Tuesday, September 29, at 5:00pm, the Steering Committee of the Richmond Region Cultural Action Plan will provide an update on progress on the Plan’s implementation and an opportunity to continue discussion on issues facing Richmond’s arts and cultural community.

This meeting will be held at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond located at 1812 West Main Street. Parking is available in the parking lot directly behind the Visual Arts Center and can be entered off the side streets of Allen or Granby.

Today's meeting will be the first in the latest series of public meetings to assure a continuing community conversation on the implementation and continuing evolution of the Richmond Region Cultural Action Plan.

Updates will be provided on:

  • Restructuring of the Arts Council (now CultureWorks)
  • Educational collaboratives
  • Creativity in the workplace initiatives
  • Community calendaring
  • Dialogues on race and Richmond history
